I’ve never hit reblog faster or harder.

Vio knew this would end badly. Breaking the Dark Mirror. He was close, but just far away enough for that stupid pudgy green man to stop him.

He looked around the dark, magma filled cave for a way out, with monsters and Shadow screaming and yelling in the distance. Vio ran for it, but not before he heard wails of pain coming from the way he got in the cave.

it was one of his old teammates, Red. Vio reflexively turned around to the sound, as he realized his old friends were caught.

He breathed heavily, and covered his mouth again as tears began to flood his eyes.

“ No.. No.. What have i done..? I’ve left them there.. Why were they even there, still? What were they thinking!.. No, i have to leave, i can’t go back.. I have to leave before i’m killed.. “

Vio quickly scrambles to the cave wall, and feels his way through the lava filled cavern.

Eventually, after walking for what seemed like forever, Vio finally reached the end of the cave and out to a bright light-fiilled forest.

“ What..? Where is this? This isn’t Death mountain.. Where am i? Hmph, this must be a hallucination. Well, maybe if i had the map i’d actually know, but i have to get out of here before Shadow catches up to me.. “

Vio stood upright, slanted because of his limp leg, but he was ready to move on. He started walking again, unsure of what to do after the incident, but he was certain his teammates had gotten killed by Shadow after getting caught.

He walks into the thick green forest, as he contemplates either finishing this whole light v.s dark mess by himself, or if he should just hide in the forest until he either finds out if his teammates are really safe, or if they actually died..

Vio wipes tears from his eyes and he keeps on walking until he hears a small, timid girl’s voice beacon to him through the trees.

“ Hey, wh-where do you th-think you’re going in such a h-hurry…? Do you have any i-idea what you’ve done..?! “

Poor Vio! He had to choose between his own safety and the safety of his friends. That’s a difficult choice for anyone to make!

I wonder who the girl is! What is her part in this adventure? It isn’t Zelda is it?

I like the little details that you put into this by the way! Like Vio having to lean because of his leg. :D

Vio looked over his shoulder to the treetop above him.

he saw the girl he met in his time being with Shadow. Shadow’s sister, Valerie. also known as Blackbow.

she looked down at him with tears in her glaring eyes. she hopped down from the tree and down in front of him, as Vio flinched.

“ What do you think you’re doing, just running away like that? you almost shattered the Dark Mirror, and now you’re running away without a second thought of your friends? Vio, what’re you doing?! “

“ Blackbow, i-.. I’m sorry.. “

“ I already know you’re sorry, you don’t have to tell me twice. But your friends are screaming for your help, why are you running? “

Vio sighed and looked at the ground as his friend crosses her arms and frowns at him, disappointedly.

“ Look, it was either i go back and get killed with them, running the risk of Hyrule being taken by Ganon, or i run and make sure there’s at least one hero that can save this place. “

“ Two. Two heroes. “

Vio looks up at Blackbow in surprise at what she said.

“ What? Valerie, no! You can’t- You don’t have to-.. Blackbow, please. Just stay with your brother, i don’t want you to get hurt. “

“ W-Well, i didn’t want you t-to get hurt either, but you did it anyway! “

Blackbow raises her voice as tears roll down her face. Vio looks at her with a worried look and rubs his bloodied arm.

“ Blackbow.. I’m sorry i tried to break the mirror.. “

“ I’m sure you are, but i’m not so certain you’re sorry for Shadow attacking you like that. But.. I’m sorry i couldn’t hold him back. Shadow is.. A lot stronger than me.. He wouldn’t have listened to me, anyway. He never listens to me.. But, that’s why i want to come with you, so you won’t be alone and so.. Because, i feel like you actually care what i have to say. “

Vio stares at Blackbow. she looks down, and looks around at the ground.

“ Please, Vio.. I don’t want to have to beg you.. “

“ Uh- Beg?! You really want to get away from your family that badly?! “

“ Yes, it shouldn’t be a surprise.. “

“ Oh, well… Fine. But if i get called a kidnapper for this, that’s on you. “

“ Aheeheeheehee! Thank you so much! “

“ Yea yea, let’s go already. I don’t want to get caught, so come on.. “

At least now he has a friend! So are Vio’s friends still alive or are they dead by now?

I like that this dialogue sounds like it would be right at home in a Zelda manga book! I don’t know too much about the Four Swords universe but I’m imagining an art style similar to Windwaker. :D

Just a note for the future: make sure that you give something a read through for grammatical errors or spelling mistakes. It might take a bit more than a spellcheck, even if it’s a great tool, because sometimes our misspellings are actual words that sneak by the spellcheck!

well, i’m glad you like it at least. and thank you, this writing’s actually about a string of aus of mine from the Four Swords manga by Akira Himekawa, so you saying that is way more than a compliment to me.

and sorry for any mistakes, i’m more used to writing in script style, so novel style isn’t really my thing. but i’m trying.

as Blackbow and Vio walk through the forest, Blackbow looks over at Vio as he looks at the map to see where they’re going exactly.

“ Vio? “

“ Hm? Oh, do you need something, Blackbow? “

“ Hmm, well sort of… “

“ Well, okay. Tell me then. “

Vio stops walking and Blackbow faces towards him as she twiddles her fingers while looking at them. Vio shoots her a confused look, to which she looks back up at him, though being nervous.

“ Oh, um… Well, i wanted to tell you something, about, uh.. “

“ About? “

“ Uh- Well, about how.. About how you got here, you know… “

“ You mean, how i ended up in this situation of running away after lying to Shadow? “

“ Uh… Exactly, yeah… “

“ Huh. Well, whatever it is, i’m sure it’s important. So, go ahead. Tell me what you want. “

Blackbow looks down at the ground, then back at Vio’s face. he smiles gently at her, and her face forms a nervous blush, as she looks into Vio’s glittery blue eyes.

he looks at her calmly, until Vio notices Blackbow’s staring and his gentle smile slowly turns into an embarrassed one as his face turns pink.

“ Uh.. Blackbow? Tell me? “

“ O-Oh! Sorry, uh.. Well, you.. You remember what happened, back at the forest when you got separated from the other Links? “

“ Oh, well.. Yeah, i remember, alright.. “

Vio looks to the ground in a shudder, as Blackbow frowns and looks down shamefully.

“ It was so weird! So creepy!! Like, why’d he have to do that?! What even- Why- I don’t- Ugh… Yeah, i remember… “

“ Mm… “

Blackbow continues looking down, having her feelings hurt quite a bit at Vio’s statements as her eyebrows narrow and her ears flatten down, as she prepares to tell the truth. Vio notices her change in facial expression and her ears going down, and he looks at her, confusedly.

“ Well.. I wanted to tell you, for so long that.. That.. Th-That, wasn’t, Shadow.. “

“ Oh yeah? Then who could it possibly could’ve been if it wasn’t- “

Vio opened his eyes in a snap, wide open as he realizes what Blackbow was saying.

“ H-Him… “

Vio looks at Blackbow with eyes wide open, as she slowly scoots away, looking grief stricken and scared, knowing what happens next.

“ Blackbow, you… “

“ Mm, please don’t hurt me! I was only doing what they told me to do! Though, doing it was my plan, but.. I didn’t expect them to dress me up like that! I’m sorry, i’m sorry! Please! Just don’t hurt me!! “

“ Then.. Why’d you even want to go get me from the forest like that in the first place…? “

“ I wanted to do it myself, but father Vaati told me going in my usual attire was too dangerous.. “

“ Oh.. I see.. “

Blackbow flinches, as Vio looks down, his face turning red as he thinks for a minute.

he starts giggling, as he realizes that if Blackbow weren’t there, Vio wouldn’t have made it out of that forest alive…

“ Mm, huh? Vio? “

“ Eheheheh, hehehehe.. Blackbow.. “

“ Hm? “

“ … “

Vio suddenly hugs Blackbow, with her eyes growing wide as she expected something else from him.

he embraces her with warm fuzziness in his chest, as he cuddles her a bit before answering.

“ .. Thank you so much for telling me the truth. And thank you so much for rescuing me. It means so much to me that you’d help me, and tell me what really happened that.. That, i might just explode from happiness! Thank you so much! “

“ I-I-I-I-.. I don’t understand.. “

Blackbow’s eyes fill with tears as she wasn’t expecting anything like a thank you either.

“ I thought i was all alone there, Blackbow.. I thought i was stuck, trapped. I thought i was going to die in that forest, without ever being able to save Hyrule, or see anyone i love again.. I thought i was alone, and lost forever… But you rescued me! You helped me!! Thank you so much!! I’m so glad you wanted to help me, Blackbow!!! “

Blackbow looks down a bit, as Vio lets her go before her eyes look up and widen again, as he leans in and kisses Blackbow.

her pupils grow huge, and her face turns a bright blossom pink as her heart begins to race with the feeling of Vio’s lips on hers.

…

That’s ok! It is good to get into writing with proper grammar though! If the habit of things like not capitalizing gets too ingrained then it will be difficult to fix later on.

I’m glad that Vio didn’t respond to her confession with anger and I’m also glad that Blackbow told the truth! Miscommunication and secrets could get a group of adventurers killed.
